Gameport brings game developers and gamers together. Gameport provides gamers of all types with an amazingly comprehensive listing of popular games, developer games, MUD's, BBS's, and game developer resources. And, Gameport provides software developers with a convenient method of selling their products online. With an easy to navigate site filled with reviews, forums, screenshots and more, Gameport provides the Ultimate Game Resource where you can search and shop for your favorite games.

Following is extensive coverage of shopping for and purchasing games on the Gameport site. If there is a topic not covered, please e-mail Gameport at [email protected].

Shopping at Gameport

Shopping at Gameport is easy. Using Atomz powerful search features, you can find the software and games you are looking for by typing the software or game title into the search field. You can also browse through our pages to look for games on a particular platform. Enjoy the reviews, screenshots, and product descriptions we have for the majority of our products. Once you have found what you are looking for, click the purchase button or "buy now" text and you will be taken to our shopping cart page. Currently, only one item can be purchased at time here at Gameport on all products except console games, which are sold through our affiliated site, MacroMusic. Through MacroMusic, you can purchase as many console games, music and movies as you wish. All Gameport and MacroMusic products are sold separately.

Many of our games include the shipping costs into the price of the product, while others add a small shipping fee to the price at the end of the order. We would prefer to have the shipping costs to be consistent for each product, however different suppliers provide us the information differently. Shipping costs that are not included in the product's price are added to the total price on the shopping cart page.

The shopping cart page is your final chance to change any details of your order. You should review your order for accuracy and click the "submit order" button if the order meets with your approval.

If you wish to delete items or cancel the order after you have clicked the "submit order" button, you must contact our Customer Service Department [[email protected] ]. If the order has already been shipped, you have two options: 1) you can keep the product or 2) you can return it after receiving it (follow the return instructions below). If you return a shipped item, you are responsible for the shipping charges to you and back to the company.

There are no returns for items that are downloaded from this site.

A completed invoice with order number will automatically be created from the order form. A copy of this invoice will be e-mailed to you. Please keep this email for your records. If questions should arise with the order, please refer to the order number given on the invoice when contacting our Customer Service Department at [email protected].

After you have received your purchase, should you decide to return it for defects or other problems, please contact our Customer Service Department at [email protected].

Shipping

Products are shipped USPS, UPS and Fed EX (depending on the supplier), and are shipped the same day if the product is in stock.

Questions - Gameport, Inc.
10661 Rene St.,
Lenexa, KS 66215

So we may fully and quickly answer your questions, please include the following in any correspondence:

  • If you have a question or comment about how the site works, please identify the specific page (include the URL and the title).
  • If you have questions about your order, please include your user name, approximate date of the order and your full name as it appears on the invoice (you should receive an invoice by e-mail when you place the order).
  • Also, be sure to check our help section, including finding software, games, ordering, returns and other FAQs.

Credit Cards

You may use Master Card, Visa, American Express or Discover to purchase software or games online through Gameport. At the time you place your order, we will authorize your credit card. You will not actually be charged, however, until your order ships. This way, you only get charged for items actually shipped.

If your card is not getting approved, please check the following:

  • You are using a valid credit card type (MC, VISA, AE, DISCOVER) and your card has not expired.
  • You are not over your credit limit.
  • Your billing address is correct. Our system checks that the billing address on record with your issuing bank matches the billing address you have entered on Gameport. The bank's records do not always get updated. If you continue to get this message, try the billing address you originally had when you were issued this card, even if it is over one year old.

Returns

At Gameport, your satisfaction is our highest priority. If at any time you are not satisfied with a shipped item, you may return the UNOPENED product within 30 (thirty) days of delivery for a full refund of the product price (shipping and handling charges are not refundable). Merchandise that has been opened will NOT be accepted as a return unless there is an apparent manufacturer's defect.

Items that have been downloaded off our site are not eligible for refunds or exchanges.

To make a return, please follow these instructions:

  • You MUST email our Customer Service Department ([email protected]) to receive a Return Authorization Number. Returns will not be accepted without one. Our Customer Service Representatives will instruct you how to correctly handle your return to ensure a proper credit.
  • Include a copy of the front and back of your invoice with your return (if the invoice's back is blank, there is no need to send a copy).
  • Completely fill out the return form on the back of your invoice, including the reason for the return. If you do not have a return form, you can get one here.
  • Send the return form and merchandise to Gameport Returns, 8005 W 110th St., Suite 208, Overland Park, KS 66210.
  • If you receive an item with a manufacturer's defect you may return the damaged product for a full refund. A Customer Service Representative will help you to determine your proper refund amount.

Returns generally take approximately 3-4 weeks to process. Please note the non-returnable items listed below. If your return is rejected, it will not be returned to you. Gameport recommends that you send your returns via an insured carrier as it is not responsible for lost returns. Please contact us with questions concerning our return policy.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Items ordered by a child using their parent's credit card. Non-authorized use of credit cards within families is considered theft by Gameport. Gameport is not responsible for debts incurred using stolen cards ... these charge backs must be handled through the card issuer as theft, which may or may not be covered by theft insurance.
  • Any product without original artwork or liner notes
  • Product not purchased from Gameport
  • Open containers without original pull-tab shrink wrap or holographic dogbone intact (except defective product)
  • Shopworn product (items that have damage to the artwork, have foreign substance on the media, have been defaced)
  • Any other product designated as non-returnable by Gameport

Credit Card Security

Keeping your personal information safe is important, especially your credit card. When you send your account information to Gameport, it is sent across a Secure Socket Layer with RSA-based encryption using a VeriSign certificate (see below for definitions). This means that your information will only be read by Gameport.

Quick Security Definitions:

VeriSign certificate: VeriSign issues Gameport a unique Digital ID, assuring you of Gameport's authenticity and allowing communications to be encrypted for privacy. VeriSign, the word's leading Certification Authority (CA) only issues Digital IDs to legitimate companies.

SSL: Secure Sockets Layer protocol, currently the Internet standard, provides a secure channel between your web browser and Gameport's web server. All data is encrypted before it is sent, so no one can intercept your credit card number or personal information.

RSA is a public-key cryptosystem that offers both encryption and digital signatures (authentication). For a detailed explanation, read this.
